BEAM COMPOST

"THE NEW GREEN REVOLUTION"

BEAM + Intensive Rotational Grazing

20 Tons of Carbon Added to Soil / Hectare/Year

74 Tons of CO2 Removed from the Atmosphere / Hectare/Year

Studies by Dr. Johnson show a 25-times increase in active soil fungal biomass and an annual average capture and storage of 10.27 metric tons soil carbon/ hectare/ year (approximately 38,000 pounds of CO2 /acre/year)  Nearly doubles adding ruminants

20-50 times the currently observed soil carbon increase in the 40 equivalent no-till soils tested. Dr Johnson describes this  Groundbreaking Method of Carbon Sequestration  and atmospheric CO2 removal

BEAM Benefits

Improves germination and growth rates

Increase crop yields 50-100% or more

Improve water infiltration and retention

Better soil nutrient availability

Increases soil carbon sequestration

Decreased need for fertilizer

Reduces water usage up to 6 times

BEAM  contains 400-500 types of Fungi and 2700 types of bacteria according to laboratory meta genetics tests done by Dr. David Johnson.  This extremely wide mix of diverse microbes offered to the plant roots greatly magnifies the likelihood of the most favourable bacteria/fungi being offered to the plants and surely explains why BEAM is so universally beneficial to a wide range of plants in virtually all environments.

BEAM (Biologically Enhanced Agricultural Management) combines a highly diverse, fungal dominant natural compost bio-inoculant with No/Minimal till, grazed land management that keeps the soil armoured and the soil microbes nourished with plant root sugars year around.

Johnson-su-bioreactor-2

BEAM material is produced in a static pile, aerobic compost 'reactor' developed by Dr. David and his wife Su Johnson.  It usually takes a year of more to produce this material and is applied at the recommended rate of 2 lb./Acre or 2 kilograms/Hectare.

Disclaimer: Although the  iGrowOrganic Group is on the official registry  with Ca. State Uni./Chico Center for Regenerative Agriculture as a producer of BEAM using the Johnson-Su Bioreactor system and has submitted verified Lab results which show a very high quality BEAM F:B ratio, the use of images from their site does in no way imply any endorsement by them,  Dr. Johnson or Greg Judy.
